Eliza Jacques
Co-director, Cello

Eliza is an active performer and advocate of contemporary music, and is a founding member of Guerilla Opera and the Arbelos Trio. A native of the Boston area, Eliza began studying cello at age five, and performed with youth orchestras at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School and the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras throughout grade school. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree and a Performer Diploma from the Indiana University School of Music, where she was a recipient of the Eva Heinitz Scholarship, and her Master of Music Degree from The Boston Conservatory, where she was a member of the Honors String Quartet and a winner of the String Idol contest. Her primary teachers include Andrew Mark, Rhonda Rider, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and Helga Winold.
